We’re gradually updating people to Meta Accounts. You may see either Accounts Center or Meta Account settings as the place to manage your account settings.
When you share something to your story, it can appear in a number of places, such as:
- At the top of Facebook Feed: Your story will appear at the top of your friends' or followers' Feed on Facebook. At the top of your own Feed, your story will be the first story in this section.
- At the top of Messenger: Your story will appear in a row at the top of your Messenger inbox.
- In Feed: Your story may appear in your friends’ or followers’ Feed. If they stop to view, react or reply to your story, you’ll be able to tell that they viewed it.
- On Instagram: If you’ve added your accounts to the same Accounts Center as your Instagram account, you can share your story to your Instagram account. Your Instagram privacy settings will apply to your stories shared from Instagram.
Your stories will be visible to your selected audience for 24 hours. Any photos or videos you add to your story on Facebook will also appear in your story on Messenger.
Note: If you share your Instagram story to Facebook, it will also appear as a story at the top of your Feed in Facebook, in the Messenger app and it may appear in your friends’ or followers’ Feed. Keep in mind that any Instagram story you share to Facebook and Messenger will use your existing story privacy settings you've chosen in the Facebook or Messenger app.
