After doing influencer marketing for over 2 years, I have figured out something interesting. We have managed to revive campaigns that were falling apart and deliver exponential ROI. And after achieving the impossible, I've learned that success is not guaranteed even if you are working with the biggest names. This is because the campaigns that got us the best results came from the smallest creators or nano-influencers. Here’s what I’ve discovered about them: → If their content is valuable, then nano influencers can genuinely influence the most! For instance, a fitness influencer sharing their genuine transformation story using a brand’s product resonates more than a celebrity endorsement.   → They know their audience personally and their followers trust their word because they recently started following them. → Their niche expertise has a higher impact. Nano-influencers often focus on specific interests like vegan cooking, sustainable fashion or tech gadgets. This specialization allows brands to target hyper-specific demographics with laser precision. → Unlike celebrity influencers, nano-influencers don’t demand a lot of money. Many are happy to collaborate in exchange for products or small payments, which is a win-win for startups and smaller businesses. If you’ve worked with nano-influencers or have questions about integrating them into your campaigns, let’s discuss them in the comments. What is the one nano-influencer that you recently started following? #influencermarketing

Boring content doesn’t build brands. So why are we still making it? Things are changing at a speed we never thought possible, and it's getting scary, especially if you're into marketing. A few years ago, simply providing valuable information was enough. There was less competition, audiences had more patience to consume detailed content, and social media wasn’t as saturated with endless options fighting for attention. But today? The way audiences consume content has evolved. They still seek information, but they also expect it to be engaging, easy to digest, and even fun. 🔴 The challenge? We’re competing not just with other brands but with everything else fighting for attention—trending reels, viral tweets, and endless scrolls of content. So what happens if we don’t adapt? 😕 Engagement drops → Purely educational content without an engaging hook gets overlooked. 😖 Brand recall weakens → People remember stories, humor, and emotions—not just facts. 😑 Reach shrinks → Algorithms prioritize engaging content, and if yours doesn’t hook people, it won’t be seen. The solution? Edutainment. Instead of choosing between educational and entertaining content, combine the two. Here’s how: ✅ Traditional educational content: Blog posts, case studies, reports, how-to guides. ✅ Entertainment-based content: Interactive quizzes, polls, short-form videos, memes, storytelling posts. ✅ Hybrid (Edutainment) content: Infotainment-style videos, gamified learning, storytelling-based lessons, social media threads with humor. Why does this work? Because people crave dopamine, not just data. → A well-told story makes an audience listen. → A fun quiz makes them engage. → A short, entertaining video makes them stay. If you make your audience enjoy learning, they’ll keep coming back. Remember, your audience doesn’t owe you their attention. You need to earn it. Thoughts?

We’ve generated ~6M impressions for our clients at Creatorbuzz. Our most successful influencer campaigns leverage these 5 tactics 👇 1️⃣ Video-first We’re still seeing great engagement from text and image-based content, however, our clients who are leveraging video content are seeing higher impressions and engagement. Influencers who can make great video content will win in 2025. 2️⃣ Real World Application Lots of B2B Marketers think Influencer Marketing only works if the influencers are customers of their products. While that helps, this is not the case. The Influencers just need to have a real world application for the product. The product needs to be able to solve an actual problem the influencer experiences or has experienced in their day job. The audience can see right through it if not. 3️⃣ High Value Resource If your CTA is a demo page, you might need to re-evaluate your influencer strategy. In B2B, sales cycles can be 3-6 months long (sometimes even longer). And demos are usually only requested AFTER the buyer has already done 80% of their research. So by having your influencers share a demo page, this will lead to a poor conversion rate. Instead, have your influencers share a high value resource to help buyers through the funnel. For example, have them share a resource report, some sort of template, or free certification. Anything that provides immediate value. 4️⃣ Full Funnel Content Some campaigns are strictly for brand awareness, while others are more performance based. Duh. However, I’ve noticed our best campaigns have full-funnel content. I recommend using a mix of different types of influencers to achieve this. Select some influencers who make general content in the “Marketing” space that will guarantee you impressions. Then select a few SMEs within each category that will provide more specific content within a niche of Marketing, like MOPs for example. The SMEs may not have as large of a reach, but it will help you target a specific community with tactical advice. 5️⃣ 3 Month Campaign Minimum All of our clients start on a 3-4 month campaign minimum. Why? A few reasons. (1) For the influencers, they’re not interested in signing one off brand deals anymore. (2) In B2B, given the length of sales cycles, it may take a few months to start seeing an impact- especially, if the company has an awareness problem. (3) This 3 month campaign will be a great testing period to see what’s working and what’s not. After the 3 months are up, companies can now extend longer term agreements to the creators who are the best fit. B2B companies will have “Always On” influencer campaigns just like they would for Advertising. These are just some of the tactics our best clients are leveraging for their Influencer campaigns. What else would you add to the list? Interested in launching a B2B Influencer Campaign for your business? Send me a DM 🤝

How many times have you logged on to Linkedin and found yet another email that starts with: "Hey [First Name]," followed by a generic pitch that does not concern your interests or needs. Sound familiar? We've all been there. And it's frustrating. As a fractional CMO/Consultant, I've seen this happen repeatedly. Businesses think they're doing personalization right but need to do better. It's not enough to use someone's name or company. 👉🏾 True personalization is about understanding their challenges, goals, and needs. For example, on LinkedIn, scroll through their feed and see what they post, talk about, like, and comment on. This helps as a starting ground on how to approach them and what to discuss. So, instead of sending a LinkedIn message that says: "I'd love to connect and learn more about your business," try something like: "I noticed you're working on [specific project]. I have some ideas on how you could [achieve a specific goal]. Would you be open to a quick chat?" See the difference? It's not just about being personal; it's about being relevant. And when you're relevant, you're not annoying — you're helpful. 👉🏾 So, think about this the next time you craft a personalized outreach campaign. →"Would I find this message valuable? →Does it address my specific needs and interests?" If the answer is no, it's time to return to the drawing board. 👉🏾 Also, tools like Crystal Knows help you fine-tune your message and tone when reaching out to maximize the impact of every conversation. Let's aim for genuinely helpful messages, not just another annoyance in their inbox. What do you think about personalized outreach? #b2bmarketing #demandgeneration #leadgeneration #ABM

Viral content isn’t magic. It’s math—and I’ve got the formula. Let’s debunk the myth: viral content isn’t a happy accident. It’s built on strategy, timing, and understanding your audience. Here’s my ultimate checklist for creating content people can’t help but share: 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: It all starts here. Understand what excites, entertains, or educates them. Content that feels custom-made gets shared. 𝗞𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗜𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲: People love sharing things that make them think, “This is SO me.” Dig into universal truths, shared experiences, or niche topics your audience loves. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲: Ask yourself: what will my audience gain from this? It could be a laugh, an aha moment, or a life hack. If it’s useful, it’ll travel. 𝗕𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲-𝗪𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝘆: Content spreads when it sparks a reaction: surprise, curiosity, nostalgia, or inspiration. Think about what will make someone say, “You HAVE to see this.” 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: The scroll is real, so make your visuals count. A striking image, engaging video, or clean design stops thumbs in their tracks. 𝗛𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗙𝗮𝘀𝘁: You’ve got 3 seconds (if that). Start strong with a bold headline, a juicy stat, or an irresistible question. 𝗧𝗮𝗽 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 (𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗹𝘆): Trending topics can skyrocket your reach; but only if they align with your brand and audience. Be timely without being try-hard. 𝗘𝗻𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Content that invites comments, debates, or even a quick share does better. Ask for feedback, pose questions, or use CTAs that actually work. 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁, 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘇𝗲, 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲: Not every post will go viral. And that’s okay. Learn from the ones that resonate, tweak your approach, and keep experimenting. 𝗕𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰: Virality is fleeting, but trust is lasting. If your audience knows you’re real and consistent, they’ll stick around for the long haul. Remember: going viral isn’t the goal. Building connection, trust, and a loyal community is. Virality is just the cherry on top of great content. --- Follow Jeff Gapinski for more content like this. ♻️ Share this to help someone else out with their content today. #marketing #viral #b2b

Interactive content has evolved from a novelty to a fundamental strategy for publishers aiming to enhance audience engagement in 2025. As readers increasingly seek immersive experiences, publishers are incorporating gamification elements, such as quizzes, polls, and interactive narratives, to transform passive consumption into active participation. This approach not only captivates audiences but also fosters a deeper connection with the content. Polls, for instance, are a powerhouse tool. Embedded directly into articles, they turn passive readers into active contributors, boosting time spent on-page and uncovering preferences traditional analytics miss. These insights enable publishers to refine their content strategies while fostering a sense of community, a win-win for trust and relevance. Publishers like The New York Times have pioneered this approach for over a decade. Their iconic "How Y’all, Youse, and You Guys Talk" dialect quiz, launched 10 years ago, became the most-read article in the outlet’s history at the time and remains a blueprint for hyperlocal publishers. By leveraging regional dialects, it transformed linguistic curiosity into a nationwide conversation while fostering micro-community connections—proof that localised interactive tools drive sustained engagement. Hyperlocal publishers are now building on this legacy. For example, TribLive’s 2023 “Can You Pass This Pittsburgh Slang Quiz?” became a viral sensation in Western Pennsylvania, testing readers’ knowledge of phrases like “yinz” and “jaggerbush.” This playful interactive piece not only celebrated regional identity but also drove record traffic and social shares, showcasing how dialect-driven content strengthens community ties. Also, incorporating game-like elements taps into readers' intrinsic motivations, such as the desire for achievement and competition. This strategy enhances user satisfaction and encourages repeat visits, thereby increasing engagement and loyalty. Here are the key takeaways for publishers: 1.    Implement Interactive Elements: Integrate features like quizzes and polls to create engaging content formats. 2.    Understand Audience Preferences: Tailor interactive components to align with your readers' interests and behaviors. 3.    Measure and Optimise: Regularly evaluate the performance of interactive content to refine strategies and maximise engagement. Interactive content is shaping the future of digital publishing. By embracing gamification and incorporating tools like polls into editorial strategies, publishers can craft compelling experiences that not only attract but also retain readers. What interactive formats have you found most effective? Share your experiences and examples in the comments below! #DigitalPublishing #InteractiveContent #Gamification #AudienceEngagement #PublishingInnovation

62% of LinkedIn users scroll on mobile. Yet most creators still design posts like everyone's on a 27-inch monitor. (I have made these mistakes too.) The result? Your content gets skipped. Not because it's bad, but because it's unreadable. Here are the 5 mobile design mistakes killing your engagement: 1. Tiny text on images • If your audience needs to pinch and zoom, they won't. • Keep text at least 40pt and limit it to 6 words per line. 2. Heavy images that load slowly • Anything over 1MB will frustrate mobile users. • Compress your visuals before uploading. 3. Carousels crammed with information • Mobile screens are small. • Fitting 8 bullet points on one slide? You've already lost people. • Aim for 3 lines max per slide. 4. Poor color contrast • That light gray text on white background? • Invisible in sunlight. • Use high contrast combinations. • Test your designs in bright light. 5. CTAs hidden below the fold • If your CTA is buried at the bottom of a long post, mobile users will never see it. • Put your ask in the first 3 lines or repeat it at the end. The fix is simple: design on mobile first, then check desktop. ✓ What's the biggest mobile design mistake you see on LinkedIn? PS: I am not a designer. But I always cross-check my posts on the mobile to ensure they are reader-friendly.

Almost every startup founder I mentor asks the same question: How do we make influencer marketing actually work? It’s an evolving space, full of buzzwords, constant algorithm shifts, and formats that become stale overnight. Here’s my quick checklist from what’s worked across the brands I’ve led and the startups I’ve advised: 1) Start with the “why.” Are you using influencers to build brand awareness and relevance (long term objectives), amplify a campaign, or drive sales (short term objectives)? Your objective dictates everything from investment levels to creator selection, content strategy, to paid media amplification. 2) Measure what matters. Define which metrics should move as a result of influencer activity. For awareness, track site visits or a surge in brand searches; for relevance, focus on engagement and shift in sentiment; and for sales, look at add to cart or conversions. Brand lift studies are a good start, but don’t stop there. Build a full measurement framework. 3) Build social intelligence to fuel your creator strategy. Don’t just track brand mentions or sentiment on social. Analyze trending conversations, buzzwords, and creator themes. The Vaseline Verified campaign that won a Grand Prix this year is a great example of using social intelligence to spark creative ideas. 4) Avoid format fatigue with social fresh storytelling. GRWM (Get Ready With Me) videos owned beauty last year but quickly flatlined as more brands copied them. Experiment with episodic storytelling in social first series instead. Gen Z and Gen Alpha follow creators like they follow shows. Multiple exposures in the same content series with a loyal fan base earn brand recognition quicker than stand alone creator videos. 5) Go broad, not just big. Many nano and micro creators across different niches often outperform a few big names. Diversity drives discovery. 6) Frequency compounds. Working with the same creator across multiple drops builds trust faster than one off shoutouts. 7) Let creators lead. Campaigns that start from creators, not with them, scale better and feel more authentic. #ShotOniPhone is a great example, always fresh, always creator led. 8) 9) 10) Leaving the last three open, what would you add to this checklist?

Nik Sharma might be the 🐐 of influencer marketing. Here are 18 of my favorite lessons from Nik on the power of influencer marketing + the right way to approach it as a brand: 1. By partnering with influencers, brands are able to integrate their products into a relevant community with a high conversion rate at a relatively low cost. 2. Fans expect influencers to promote products they care about. 3. Most influencers only want to work with brands that they believe in and promote products on their social channels that they would use. 4. More than 41% of consumers get more interested in a brand when they partner with a celebrity or influencer they love. 5. Traditional brands follow this template: Select the influencers. Give them free products + discount code. Pay them for a sponsored post. This approach is purely transactional and sets up the influencer marketing campaign for failure. 6. The goal of influencer marketing shouldn't be to pay them for sponsored content. Instead, you should develop a meaningful relationship that is beneficial for both parties. 7. Successful influencer partnerships are based on trust—not reach. 8. If brands are so focused on their return on investment, they can overlook the value social media influencers provide. 9. The best influencer marketing campaigns are multi-faceted. 10. Successful influencer marketing campaigns build brand loyalty, decrease customer acquisition costs, and enable marketers to track influencer-driven impact on a performance level. 11. By forging a relationship with the influencers you’re working with, they’re more likely to post about your brand without you even having to ask. This content is more native than the old-fashioned branded content with #ad front-in-center in the copy. 12. You need to find influencers with audiences that is closely aligned with your target market. 13. Find influencers who believe in your product. If they don’t, the content they create won’t resonate. 14. Offer to provide your product to the influencer to test before they have to commit. 15. When you work with an influencer that truly believes in your brand and appreciates your product, the content that they create is gold. 16. Don’t solely focus on the number of followers they have or their content, but rather, pick influencers that have a high engagement rate and have values, goals, and ethics that align with your brand. 17. Brands that treat influencers as partners as opposed to paid marketing channels will see the value in their campaigns. To take this approach, brands need to work collaboratively and focus on long-term gains rather than short-term revenue. 18. By selecting the right influencers, crafting your pitch, and maximizing your success, you’ll get more out of the partnership than a one-time increase in sales. You’ll get an entirely new audience to work with and an ambassador that’s sharing your product in effective, engaging ways. #influencermarketing #niksharma #marketing
